Baby Simonson Update

June 29, 2020

Today is June 29, 2020 and I just got back from checking on Baby Girl Simonson. We are 22 weeks, 4 days today, and the “magic number” for the hospital to intervene and help baby if I go into labor is 23 weeks (this Thursday). There are still several unknowns, and possibilities, and my doc says I am just a special case, because everything continues to look great with baby. My doctor continues to say if they did not know my water broke, that everything looks perfect.

This Thursday I will go to be admitted into Labor and Delivery and I will stay in the long term stay area of L&D. Unfortunately, with COVID, that area of the hospital is not allowing any visitors at all… I was under the impression my husband could at least come to visit, but that will not be happening until it is time to deliver the baby. Which could be next week, or not until September. Thank God for video call, but it is going to be a long road ahead of us.

I am going to continue to read my Bible, stay in bed, and pray extra hard for me and baby girl.

Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
