Girl Wash Your Face
November 1, 2018
Today I met with someone who did not know who Rachel Hollis was. If you are unfamiliar with her name, or her work, please do a quick google search, and it should not take long for you to discover she is a New York Times Best Selling Author, and motivational speaker. It was only in the latter half of 2018 that I myself discovered who Rachel Hollis was, and have since jumped aboard the Hollis express. Primarily, because I fell in love with her book, “Girl Wash Your Face.” If you have not read the book, I HIGHLY recommend it!
When I first heard the title, I actually rolled my eyes, because even I had not heard of Rachel Hollis at this point. (Yes, I am aware I should not be quick to judge, but we all have our flaws). However, I kept hearing more positive reviews and recommendations. I finally purchased the book, and had it finished within TWO days. Every chance I had, I opened the book because I was so mesmerized.
I found the book to be extremely motivating, and inspiring, and I especially enjoyed that Rachel was not withholding any of her own negative experience. It was evident that Mrs. Hollis poured her heart into the pages she wrote, to share her story, and to inspire others. There were many moments when reading the book I found myself to relating to Rachel’s personal stories, and made me feel like I was not alone.
Rachel’s, “Girl Wash Your Face” is an incredible read, and I recommend it to all who are looking for an inspiring read. So pick up your copy of “Girl Wash Your Face”, and get ready, because March 2019 she releases “Girl Stop Apologizing” and this momma can’t wait.
